Helmet - hunt style helmet with black velvet coloring
Neckwear - white or cream stock tie secured with plain gold horizontal pin
Gloves - tan, buff, brown-string gloves when wet
Vest - canary or tattersall, canary being more formal
Coat - plain black, oxford or navy hunting jacket with a single vent, plain black buttons
Breeches - beige or buff with black jacket or white with frock coat for males
Boots - black dress boots with or without tops, patent for ladies
Informal (Ratcatcher)
Boots - brown or black, field boots or dress boots
Breeches - earth tones (e.g., such as rust, canary, buff, beige, grey, khaki). No blue, navy, green, black or white.
Riding Shirts - neutral colors with matching choker or shirt and tie. You will see brightly colored shirts out there these days , but the neutral ones are considered more traditional. If you choose to wear a stock, no white ones.
Helmet- black or brown safety helmet
Hacking Jacket - shades of brown, green, grey in subtle plaids, checks, herringbone and hounds tooth - tailored specifically for riding with a back vent and three buttons, all of which should be fastened while riding. A conventional sport coat is not a substitute.
Gloves - light or dark brown leather, leather crochet backed black gloves are allowed but not considered traditional.
